Chef Greg McDaniel has been at Boulder Country Club since September of 2013. He has been working in the food service industry since 1980. He studied at the Culinary Institute of America, graduating in 1989. His first “true” sous chef position was at the Doral Resort in Miami in 1991. In 1993, he accepted the executive sous chef at the Sonesta Beach Resort, Key Biscayne, Fl. In ’99, he became the executive chef at the National Hotel and then the Executive Chef at Deering Bay Yacht and Country Club from 2005 – 2011. From then Chef Greg joined forces with an old colleague at Parkland Chef Catering until joining the team here at the Boulder Country Club.
Chef Greg received manager of the year in Sonesta Beach Resort, was published in Ocean Drive Magazine in Florida, and featured on Food Network Show from The National Hotel in 2003.
Greg's culinary style is based on classic French cuisine, with inspiration from all styles of cuisine. Greg believes in using high quality, local products (as much as possible). He has a “simple elegance” approach to his dishes, use great products and let them speak for themselves. He has embraced his new locale and has started to form relationships with local companies.
Chef Greg is a Colorado Native born in Fort Collins Colorado. Married 14 years to a wonderful wife and has one son. In his travels he has seen most of the United States, as well as Canada, Mexico and Bermuda. When not in the kitchen, Chef Greg loves to enjoy the outdoors whether it’s hiking in the summer or snowboarding in the winter at one of the many wonderful ski hills here
